Bye Bye Emily

OK so I'm a little late in doing this, and Emily probably won't even get to see this post, but Emily, one of my best friends is moving to Georgia (today actually) and we all got together a week or so ago to say goodbye. It was such a bitter sweet thing. I had so much fun seeing everyone but I still can't believe she's leaving me!!!! Especially since she just had a little girl! But here's some pictures that I'm sure some of you have been waiting to see from that night. The Girls
Crystal, Me, Katy, Emily, Nette, Jenny, and Anna

All of us. (well all of us that were there.)

Cole became best friends with Jenny's little boy Carson. He WOULD not let go of his hand.

Katy, Emily, and Jenny

We're going to miss you Emily and Kris. Good luck with everything. Thanks Katy for getting it all together and thanks to everyone that came. It was so fun to see you guys!

Cole's Parade

For the 24th of July our ward did a primary parade where the kids decorated their bikes with red, white, and blue, or they could dress up as pioneers and paraded through the neighborhood. Neil had so much fun with this. He went all out on Cole's car.It paid off too. Everyone commented on how cute it was.

Cole ABSOLUTELY loved it too! He wouldn't let us take this stuff off his car for weeks!

The bishop was so awesome too. After breakfast he took all the little kids for a horse ride. Cole was thrilled!! He had the HUGEST smile on his face. (not in this picture though) And I still can't decide who had more fun this day. Neil or Cole. :) Regardless we all had a lot of fun with it all.

Cole, Cole, and more Cole

I wanted to share some of Cole's funny moments lately. I swear I tell Neil a funny story about him everyday, but these are some of my favorites.

- We have a radio hooked under our cabinet in the kitchen and the other day Cole dragged a stool clear across the kitchen, climbs up, turns the radio on, looks over at me and starts dancing on the stool and says. "Come on Mom, let's dance!"

- Cole loves to wake me up in the morning. And the other morning Cole climbed right up on top of me and put his face right next to mine. So when I opened my eyes I was startled and Cole asked "what happened?" and I said "there's a baby in my face!" and Cole said "No, there's not a baby in your face, it's in your belly."

- A few nights ago we were all sitting in the living room and Cole farted. He quickly turned around and then back to us and with a startled face asked "What's that?"

- Mom: "Can I get a whoo whoo?"
Cole: "Whoo whoo."
Mom: "Can I get a whoo whoo?"
Cole: "No you can't get a whoo whoo."

- Cole loves books and we find him quoting them often now. One of his favorite books to quote is Bearstain Bears. So the other day I did something bad (I can't even remember what it was now) but Cole turns to me and acting like Papa Bear and quoting the book word for word says "Go to your room and no t.v. for a week, for a month, for a year!!!" and then points up to my bedroom.

- I must admit I'm human and every once in a while I loose my temper. And the other day I was at my wits end and was trying to get something done on the computer. Cole came in bugging me to get him ANOTHER drink of milk (for at least the 5th time that day) and would not let up about it so I finally I got up and said "Fine!" and stormed off to the kitchen to get him some milk. Cole, calmly comes into the kitchen and looks at me so sweetly as I give him his milk and while motioning downward with his hands says "calm down Mom.....just calm down."

And I know this is a really long blog, but I don't get around to blogging much anymore so I kinda have to fit it all in at once. At least this second part isn't so wordy.

We went to Discovery Gateway with my sister and her kids a few weeks ago. Cole LOVED it! By the end of the day we were so zonked!

Cole LOVING the kitchen.

In the dog house..... how fitting????

They all thought the helicopter was pretty cool, but Cole was too funny. He was SO afraid that the helicopter was going take off. He wouldn't let me get more than 10 ft. away from him.

Cole and his cousin Rex.

What a cute fireman!

And we ended the day off with the fountains, which were a blast.
