Bah Dah Bah Bah Baah ... I'm Loving It!

BOATING!

July was so much fun and was super packed. We had something fun planned each week. The first week we went boating with some friends (the pix are lost somewhere in cyber space) and had a blast water skiing and tubing. Cole absolutely LOVED the tube. I wish I had a picture to show you. Maybe next time.

LAGOON!

The next week we went to Lagoon. It was our first time taking Cole and he just ate it up.

Neil and his brother Austin were so nice to volunteer to go with Cole and Savannah on this ride and then Cole and Savannah decided they wanted to ride together and stuffed Neil and Austin in the seat in back of them. Haha..... (Cole's in the front seat in this picture)

Cole and his cousin Savannah. Just a side note. He did not pick the pink boat. She did.

Korver and I on the carousel. Which he absolutely loved you just can't tell from this picture. And no I don't beat my kids. I missed a spot on Korver with the sunscreen when we were boating. I'll blame it on the life jacket scrunching his face into a Shar-Pei.

Cole on the helicopter. Incase you couldn't tell.

I made the mistake of telling Cole that the bumper cars were my favorite ride as a kid so it was the ride he had to ride first and the ride he wanted to ride over and over and over again. He SERIOUSLY rode it over 20 times.

Best way to end the day. Luckily he had more clothes. :)

CAMPING

The next week for the 24th we went camping with my fam up at Payson Lakes. There was a bear that almost ruined our plans but luckily they were able to catch him and re-opened the camp ground.

My brother Brett with Cole and his cousin Rex.

Not likin the hat Mom.

Swimming!

My mom and sister-in-law Tiffany.

Awwwwwwww....... did I mention this is the newest member of our Young Men's Presidency?

Cole taking an unwanted plunge.

Then after camping and all the other fun it was bound to catch up to us sometime. Cole got sick and then got me and Korver sick. The problem is that when Cole gets sick he doesn't act all that sick. He's just really whiny. He doesn't like to rest when he's sick. I mean does this look like a kid with a temperature of 102??? Ahhhhh... SLEEP! PLEASE!!!!!!

And Korver is EVERYWHERE. He has started cruising along the furniture. One of his favorite things is to sneak in my bathroom and turn the tub on. He thinks he's pretty cool.... and big.

Bah Dah Bah Bah Baaah .... I'm loving it. Summer anyway. Not McDonalds.

Good Times!

I am a TOTAL slacker lately when it comes to taking pictures! Here are a few of the 4th. I went mtn biking at Mueller Park with my oldest brother Matt. We're 10 years apart and this is the first thing we can EVER remember doing just the 2 of us. Well except for me driving him to the DMV to relinquish his license because he had too many speeding tickets and the time he almost killed me driving 100 mph just to get me to practice on time. But those don't really count. And this was MUCH more fun.

He wasn't too happy with me
when he saw the pictures.
Hehe....

Neil got hurt playing basketball so he wasn't able to come. So he took the kids to the Murray parade and then we just hung out with family and had a BBQ, played ladder golf, frisbee, and football, and watched fireworks.

We also had another camp out in our backyard

and went fishing with my family. Brett is going to be such a good dad. If baby needs some shade he'll find a way.

The boys also got to go to the fire station and check out all the cool gear and fire trucks and fire engines.

And Korver started crawling a few weeks ago! He has since improved his skill. And my life has changed. Good luck changing this guy's diaper!

Cole was so cute the other day and made a hut out of the living room table. He then dragged Korver into it and brought him toys to play with. What a good brother!

Video of Korver eating. I don't remember Cole rubbing food all over his head!

It's About Time!

OK so I know I've been a total slacker lately in updating my blog, but I just haven't had time lately! So while I have a sec here's a glimpse at our fun Memorial Day weekend!

Of course we started out the weekend with a fire in a back yard. Both the boys LOVE the fire and didn't mind the s'mores either.

We played baseball, kickball, and shadow tag and tried to teach Cole the real rules of the games but he still insists his rules are more fun. Who needs 2 hands and why does it matter what order I run the bases. And who cares if you tag me with the ball?

And we finally upgraded our grill! We've been grilling on a camp grill that we got from our wedding for the past 5.5 yrs. That one finally fell apart so it was high time to upgrade. It's so nice to not have to squat to cook food!

And we finished planting our flowers and garden. Neil added more boxes this year to the garden (I'll have to get a better picture later) but this year we've planted asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, cucumbers, corn, zucchini, tomatoes, peas, spaghetti squash, peppers, cilantro, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, spinach, and green beans! I'm so excited!

Then on Memorial Day we went to Timpanogos Cave.

Left to right: Carrie(sister) her baby Amelia (2 mo.) her husband Matt, little boy Rex, little girl Savannah, Brett (brother) his wife Tiffany(6 mo. pregnant), and then Cole, Korver, Neil and me. My mom isn't pictured but she was a trooper in hiking up at the age of 57! I can say that cuz she never reads my blog. :)
Needless to say we were quite the crew with 3 little kids, 2 babies, 1 pregnant woman, and my mom!

Happy Birthday Brett! Although, I don't even know why I bother writing that because you never check my blog either! Apparently I don't do a blog for my family. Except for you Christy. :)

Korver hated the cave to begin with. He hated the dark. You know it's bad when the tour guide asks you if there is anything they can do to help. Translation: "Shut the heck up!!" Luckily, Korver finally fell asleep in Neil's arms.

Neil was so great. He carried Korver practically the whole way up and Cole all the way down. Cole made it up mostly by himself but he couldn't quite handle the downhill. You wouldn't know Neil is carrying anything in the picture if it weren't for Cole's 2 feet sticking straight out. Hehe..

Missed you Dad, Matt, Alicia, Christy and Jorge!

Until next time....... hopefully. :)

Oh and I know I mentioned that I was going private, and I am.... when I get time. :)

Easter Fun and the Blues

So this year we were in charge of our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. And by "we" I mean Neil. :) Anyway, Neil had the great idea of getting not only candy but bigger prizes - for every kid, not just a few lucky ones. So we loaded up our car with 1,000 easter eggs, candy, balls, kites, jump ropes, bubbles, & hot wheels. The cashier at Walmart loved us I'm sure. And someday we'll get a bigger car but at least Cole had a blast on the way home. Can you see him in this picture?

There he is!

Neil had to catch up with work on Saturday so I took the boys to the city hunt and some older kids squeaked in next to us at the last second and so Cole ended up with a whomping 2 eggs! Wahoo! Good thing we had another Easter Egg Hunt. But needless to say he was still happy with his 2 eggs.
I thought I took a video of our neighborhood hunt but apparently I was taking pictures instead. Whoops! So here's the best picture I have of our Easter Egg Hunt. Sorry babe! I wish I had more to show for all your hard work. The neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt was a huge hit. It actually lasted a few minutes and I over heard constant praise from people. They loved the prizes! And loved that it actually took more than 10 seconds to gather up everything.

Then Saturday night something wasn't quite right in the house. Korver refused to nurse, which he has never done and once I finally got him to fall back asleep at 1:00 a.m. I had been in bed 5 minutes when Cole started screaming. Normally, Neil is in charge of Cole, but seeing that I was awake anyway, I went to check on him only to discover that he had a temperature of 102. I was up with him for the next hour trying to get his temperature down and him comfortable. Luckily, he is o.k. and you wouldn't know the boy is sick except for his occasional fever but it definitely has put a damper on today. Both Neil's and my mom's had planned fun activities for the day, but we were unable to make it to either of them. But we still had fun at home.

Cole still was up first thing the morning super excited that the Easter Bunny had come even though he had been up most of the night.

And Korver LOVES his new toy the bunny brought him since he can't have candy yet.

And what would Easter be without dying Easter Eggs? (Yes, we did more than just these 6) I am so grateful for my wonderful family I've been blessed with and for the knowledge of the gospel. I think conference should be on Easter every year. I felt the spirit so many times during the sessions and loved the talks on the Savior and his life and sacrifice. It made Easter perfect.

What's Up

I can't believe it but this guy is 6 months old already!

He's been sitting up for about a month now. I'm guessing he weighs around 20lbs. and he already loves cars like his brother.

And he loves his big brother Cole.

I have a feeling this guy is going to give me a run for my money more than Cole did. He has been sleeping in the swing since he was born due to a little reflux and I had never buckled him in because the kid is so big that I felt like the straps were a little constricting. But now I have no choice because when he gets sick of the swing he squirms his way out until he's happily lying on the ground underneath the swing. You'd think this would scare or hurt him but he always gives me the biggest smile when I come in like "look what I did Mom!"

Korver also loves being outside. What kid doesn't? I mainly put this picture in so you can see how big he's getting. He's practically too big for this chair and his car seat! He's in 12 month old clothes!

And guess who's finally potty trained????

Cole is finally potty trained and we are so proud of him though I think he's more proud of himself than anyone. And thanks to his uncle Brett that works at Specialized we were able to get him a pretty cool Specialized bike. Thanks Brett!

And lastly we finally got our fence put in this year! Yay!!!

Funny Cole Quotes:
"You're the best Dad!" "Mommy you're a rocker and a roller!"

The other day we were talking about church and Cole proudly exclaimed "Yeah, and I'm a sunbum!" (sunbeam)

Cole was looking for his Doc car last week and asked "Dad, where is my Doc." Neil responded. "I don't have a clue." Cole shocked by this runs into me and says "Mom! Daddy doesn't have poo !" I about died. (I know I'm so mature.)

And many of you know that I have a HORRIBLE habit of burping. I've been the "burping queen" all my life. I have found out in recent years it's because of my reflux but either way I have a horrible habit of it and unfortunately Cole seems to think it's hilarious. The other day at lunch Cole and I were laughing about it and a few minutes later Cole had to go to the bathroom. A minute later he comes running out and says "Mom my bum burped!"

Ahhh... what would I do without my boys.
